Shipping Policy

Orders $125 and over qualify for free ground shipping. Click Here for FREE Shipping Terms and Conditions.

Items marked as In Stock, ships within 2-3 business days. Items marked as Available, Ships Quickly, often comes directly from one of our vendors and ships within 3-5 business days from placing your order. Items marked as Ships in 7-10 business days may require addition time for FFL license processing. Choosing an expedited shipping method will not reduce the lead time required for processing, only the method used when shipping. 

We do our best when choosing the best carrier for shipping your products. Please note some products cannot ship via certain carriers or methods due to legalities and restrictions. For Example USPS cannot ship Ammunition and UPS can only ship Ammo ground to the contiguous 48 states.  

A shipping confirmation email with tracking information is sent within 24 hours of your order leaving the warehouse.

Some items we ship require an adult signature 18+ or 21+ depending on the item or state being shipped to. If an item requires an adult signature we will include the information in the shipping confirmation email.

Some items are hazardous and require additional packaging requirements. These items will be identified during the shopping process. 

Shipping Method Explanation

Business days are Monday-Friday, Holidays, Saturdays an Sundays are not included in shipping days.

Ground Shipping

  • Delivery typically in 1-5 business days after an order has been shipped.

Express Shipping

  • Delivery typically in 1-3 business days after an order has been shipped.

2nd Day Shipping

  • Delivery typically in 1-2 business days after an order has been shipped.

Overnight Shipping

  • Delivery typically in 1 business day after an order has been shipped.

Shipping Changes

Changes to a shipment after it has left the warehouse, such as intercepts, address change may be subject to a $10 Service fee per shipment. This is simply passing along the fee billed to us by the carrier to make the change when in-transit.

Alaska / Hawaii / U.S. Territories

Due to the many restrictions around some of the products we carry, we currently are not shipping outside the lower 48 contiguous states.

International Orders

Due to export laws many of the products we carry are not availble for internationally shipping. We are currently unable to provide the services at this time.

Oversized / Overweight Items

Oversized and overweight items often carry additional charges from the shipping carriers. Examples of these items are ammunition. These items will be identified during the shopping process. Some of these items may only incur additional charges if large quantities such as bulk ammunition is purchased.

Damaged Goods

If an item arrives visibly damaged, please contact Modern Tactial Customer Service immediately. Claims are handled through the shipping carrier, but Modern Tactical will assist customers with these claims to the best of our ability.

Return Policy

With the exception of Firearms and Ammunition, you can return any new, unused and unaltered item within 30 days of delivery of your item. We will issue a full refund to your original payment method.

Refund Policy

Returned products must be in new, unused condition and include the original box and/or packaging with all tags included.
Once your return is received and inspected by Modern Tactical (usually within 24 hours of receipt), your refund will be processed and a credit will be applied to your credit card. Please note that depending on your credit card company, it may take an additional 2-10 business days after your credit is applied for it to be posted to your account.
You are responsible for all shipping costs associated with getting your order back to our warehouse.
See below for instructions on where/how to get your return order back to us. Unless noted during the return process, new items should not be shipped back to the manufacturer; all returns need an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number and will need to be returned to Modern Tactical.

Return Shipping Options

You have the option of using the carrier of your choice to return your order to us. We recommend shipping with a method which includes tracking and insurance for your return shipment. Please note certain carriers have different policies for what can be shipped and how such as Hazmat items. Please contact them if you are unsure. Modern Tactical will not take responsibility if shipped incorrectly.
All shipments must be made prepaid; packages shipped COD will be rejected.
Any Refused, Undelivered, or Abandoned package will be subject to a $10 Service Fee.

Exchanges

Need to exchange? 
If your exchange order qualifies for our free ground shipping offer (details), it will be applied.
You are still responsible for return shipping costs on your original order back to us.

Used or Damaged Merchandise

Any merchandise which has been used cannot be returned. 
Any merchandise or parts which shows signs of use is in a condition other than it was received cannot be returned.

Firearms Return Policy

Due to manufacturer restrictions, firearms cannot be returned directly to Modern Tactical. If purchased within 30 days or purchased with a Modern Tactical Lifetime Warranty, and there are any defects to your firearm, we will work with the manufacturer to help process your exchange. Please note, you will need an FFL Dealer to send or receive your firearm.

Ammunition Return Policy

For safety concerns, we are unable to receive ammunition returned from individuals.

Open Box 

We occasionally sell certain products in an open box condition that we use for product photography or videos. These items are new products and never used. They will be marked when purchasing and can be returned. Items for which the packaging has been destroyed are not returnable.

Defects

Each manufacturer has its own warranty policy. Modern Tactical will assist customers with their warranty; however Modern Tactical does not provide any direct warranty on items other than Firearms.

Order Cancellation / Modifications

We do our best to turn around orders extremely quickly.
Orders can be modified or cancelled only while their status is labeled "New." Once an order has a status of "Processing or At Warehouse " it cannot be cancelled or modified, as the order has been processed by our warehouse and is in the queue to be shipped out.

Warranty Returns

Most manufacturers offer an additional warranty period which covers against merchandise defects. To determine warranty requirements for a specific item, please contact the manufacturer or contact us for assistance.
Please note warranty processing may take 4-8 weeks and will be subject to the individual manufacturer's policies and discretion. Manufacturer warranties do not cover defects determined to be caused by normal wear or due to customer negligence.

Damaged Goods

Please let us know ASAP if any goods arrive damaged. Please keep all original shipping containers and take pictures if possible. Damaged goods claims are handled through the shipping carrier (UPS, FedEx, USPS). We will assist our customers in these claims. We only ask that customers be patient as sometimes this process can take longer than any of us would like!

Returns Process

Please contact one of our Customer Service Representatives and we will happy start the return process with you. Please have your original order information available. If the item being returned is eligible we will issue an RMA # which must be marked clearly on the external box of the package. Items returned without an RMA # will be rejected. You have 30 days from when the RMA is issued to return your merchandise. Please do not tape anything to the original product packaging! We need to get all products (and their packaging!) back in new condition. Place all merchandise in a shipping box; you may use the original shipping container. However, please DO NOT use the manufacturer's product box as the shipping container. It will arrive damaged and the package will be rejected by our returns department.

Please retain your return tracking information. Modern Tactical Online is not responsible for packages lost during return shipment. You will receive a confirmation email from Modern Tactical when your return is processed which will include the full details of refund credited.
